Sixteen Teenagers Survive SUV Rollover Accident
On the evening of Saturday, October 26th, an SUV filled with sixteen teenagers was involved in a rollover accident that occurred while the vehicle was traveling around a curve along Muirlands Vista Way in San Diego. The passengers ranged in ages from 13 to 17. Five victims were taken to the local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and a broken leg.
According to reports the teens were on their way home from a party when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn and roll onto its roof. A witness to the accident was able to immediately call for emergency services and help provide care for the injured passengers.
Police officials believe that the number of passengers confirmed to be in the vehicle at the time of the accident may have directly contributed to the rollover. No life-threatening injuries were sustained, despite the fact that the SUV was carrying sixteen passengers, far more than the maximum capacity of seven people.
